I loved my uncle Rob. He was a proper Cheshire man. He taught me to use a shotgun loved a beer and a roast dinner. He quietly worshipped his daughters and grandchildren and lost his beloved aunty Pam far too soon. He lived his life in a kind stoic way that one rarely sees nowadays and perhaps is an example to younger men. In his younger days at Greenhalls he wasn’t averse to somewhat over strengthening a brew so it was unfit for a customer and had to be “redistributed” to the workforce and their families at knockdown rates. A good man who enjoyed a long life beloved by his family and well regarded by those who knew him. I hope when I pass I can match his legacy
